2008 Summer Camp

Summer Camp 2008 came and went so fast! We had a wonderful time swimming, boating, hiking, and sleeping in covered wagons. Well, some of us enjoyed the sleeping arrangements more than others. Did you know spiders like covered wagons too?!?!?

Some senior girl scouts taught us how to make solar ovens. We kept them for our troop kit to use at future camp outs. We also received our cookie awards and camp T shirts.

It's almost time to start a new year for our troop!
Parents are beginning to ask when we'll start meeting again. I usually give the girls September to get used to their new classrooms and schedules. By then, the bus garage has a good idea of the bus with the most room to transport our girls from school to Morrow UMC for our meetings. So you can watch for details in your email box around mid September. I plan to schedule alternating Mondays after school, as usual.

Many (including me) have expressed frustration at trying to keep up with all those patches that need to go on our Brownie's vest. Patch Attach is a product you can buy online that's like glue and will keep your patch in place. It's available online for $6.99:
www.basicsclothing.com/product/Rothco-1285
Remember, Try-it patches (triangular shape) go on the front of the vest. Activity patches go on the back.
