CoCo Key was Watery!

The girls were itching to spend their cookie money, so we spent our first outing at CoCo Key Water Resort in Sharonville. There were water slides, water sprayers, water basketball hoops, a lazy river, a very warm hot tub, and lots of very long lines!

It seemed everyone else had the same idea - boy was it crowded! Luckily, we found an indoor pool apart from the water park that was less crowded and the girls enjoyed having some time together there. Next time, we'll plan it on a teacher in-service day and maybe it won't be so crowded.

World Thinking Day a Success!

On Saturday, March 1st, Troop 33607 represented Korea at World Thinking Day, 2008. We would like to thank our local dentist, Dr. Kim for loaning his daughter's beautiful Hanbok, a ceremonial dress, for our presentation. We would also like to thank Amy's friend Glenda Cottle for loaning several gorgeous items from Korea for our presentation. Finally, thanks to all of our parents for the delicious Korean dishes we all enjoyed! A good time was had by all. Ireland won first prize for an amazing presentation, but our troop did come in second, receiving an American flag and a book of flag stickers from all over the world.

The most important accomplishment was that our troop learned about Girl Scouts from 14 different countries all over the world. We learned that we are a small part of a world-wide organization. Everytime we're together, we represent girl scouts from all over the world.
